Welcome to!A subreddit for all of those who love the Total War series. All the ones ported by Feral are great.Rome 2 was ported by CA and has some Mac specific problems, the game won't save your settings so you will have to set them every time you boot the game. Also certain units like hoplites all show the same shield decal instead of having a set of randomized ones. You can sort of fix this by downloading mod that gives new shield decals. This is frustrating because they broke this stuff in an earlier patch, then fixed it, then broke it again in the most recent patch. If Rome 2 ever gets patched again maybe they will fix this.
Install Steam login language Store Page. 4.-Launch Medieval Total War 2, and in the Launcher Option window, go to the 'Advanced' tab at the top of the window. So as a community a was hoping we could find a way to install mods and that they work well on a mac.
Who knows.Attila was straight up fucking busted when it came out. I got a refund. It might be better now but I doubt it would run well on an older laptop. In the SteamApp, you can filter your view by OS. If you don't see RomeTW available for install you will have to purchase it.
Once it is installed and running to install mods you need to:. Open Finder. Open then 'Go' menu. Hit Alt, a Library Option Should Appear, Click on it. Go to./Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/Common. Select the RomeTW folder. The MOD installation process is going to be very similar to the PC. You place the mod files in your Rome folder in the exact same manner.I have the non-Steam version of Rome which has a launcher, that uses the same command line structure as windows and a mod tab.
I assume the steam version is the same, but I don't actually know.
